First historical record about Račice is from year 1252. According to a document from 1279, Račice was a settlement of gentry. Some possession belonged to peers from neighbouring village of Myslibořice in 13th century.
Notable historical landmark is early-gothic church of St. Wenceslaw (Sv. Václav) from second half of 13th century. There are two altars, painting of sv. Petr and Pavel (by Jindřich Polášek from Brno, 1888), beautiful sculpture of crucifixion (gift from count Hubert of Harnoncourt). On the main altar is a creation from painter Mesmer.
The old bell "Václav" is from year 1491. This bell is an excellent masterpiece from the golden age of bell making.
